A Question with Turning Circle?

Lotus Exige = 32.8 ft Toyota Prius = 34.0 ft Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 = 37.7 ft BMW M3 = 38.4 ft Evolution VIII FQ400 = 38.7 ft Audi R8 = 38.7 ft Land Rover Range Rover Sport = 39.0 ft Mercedes Benz S-Class = 39.3 ft BMW 7-Series = 40.0 ft Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 = 41.2 ft Top Gear (in the web) says that the 7-Series turning circle really works. Top Gear (TV) says that a Evo is worse than Jupiter. Top Gear (TV) compared a Range Rover to a car that turns really bad (forgot the car’s name) 1st. The higher amout of the feet is, the tighter it turns or wider? 2nd. If the more feet takes wider then how come the Range turns worse that the Evo while they says the Evo is bad and showed that the Range is good? 3rd. If the more feet takes tighter then how come the Range and the Evo is so near, cause I saw that the Range turn tighter than the Evo. (Not 100% sure) Thanks And so why did they say the 7-Series is good? cbear: But he compared it with another car, it's not SUV, it's in Series 1-8 I think.

  1. wow way too much time on your hands
  2. the higher the feet, the wider the turning circle I can't say for rest of your questions
  3. It's called the turning radius. The higher the feet the wider the turn. The smaller the number the easier to maneuver in tight spots esp in city driving,u-turns and parking. The reason why they say the Range is good is that usually SUVs have wide turning radius which makes the RR sport stand out.
